A few years ago I started an Ipsy Subscription and really enjoyed it. After a few months it started getting really repetitive in the items I was receiving so I stopped my subscription. They’ve made a lot of changes and updates to how you receive your glam bags and the items in it, so I thought I’d give it another go. And I gotta say, I’m so glad I did. Here’s what was in my June bag!
“It’s Never Lupus.” Tim and I used to watch House every week and laugh every time he brought up lupus. A disease that I knew nothing about and never cared to even google. It was the punchline of our favorite cranky tv doctor. It’s not so funny when the doctor tells you lupus is what you have. Here’s my journey to a diagnosis and what came after.
Hey y’all! Did you know May is Lupus Awareness Month? I’m assuming you didn’t. I didn’t until last year, the first year I could fully appreciate (is “appreciate” the right word? I don’t know) what this month means.
As you know, Lupus affects my day-to-day, all the time. I am and my family is aware more than just this month, but I thought it might be interesting to do a week of blog posts to just share our experience with this disease.
Because irony isn’t lost on Lupus, the post going out tomorrow was supposed to go out today, but my body just said “No” to just about everything but laying down today. SO … tomorrow I’ll be sharing my Lupus story from diagnosis till now. And later this week I’ll share some more specific “What is Lupus” information, what it’s like living with someone with Lupus (the kiddos will be making a guest appearance), the Spoon Theory, and what a day in my life with Lupus is like.
Hopefully I’ll be able to raise some awareness and my story can be helpful or encouraging to someone else.

I got this long sleeved tee a couple of months ago and it’s fantastic! It’s got just the right amount of stretch. I’m wearing it tucked in here but it’s actually the perfect length for leggings too! And it’s under $20. Praise Be!!!

My top is TTS and it’s a great staple for transitional weather. I paired it with my favorite jeans, that y’all love too. The necklace was a gift several years ago, so I don’t know where it’s from, but I’ll keep my eyes peeled for something similar. I sized up half a size in the sandals, color is Tan.
Went on an impromptu, short date with the hubs tonight for dinner and apps. We had a blast talking and watching the Caps v Canes game. I wore the comfiest casual outfit.

These denim shorts were a TJ Maxx find and $13. The detail on the front is interesting, not your normal distressing. I’m wearing a 5 here and I say go up at least one size.
Shoes are a repeat and still fabulous. Why do you not have these yet?! TTS & come in a couple colors.
I’m wearing the gold ones with little blush stones in this photo, but honestly the whole pack is so cute. I can’t choose a favorite.

Literally, these are so freakin’ soft. The softest. Did I say they were soft? Because they’re soft AF.
I am all about some athletic wear. Even when I’m not working out. It’s why I love the word “athliesure”.
I love the Tory Burch Millers. Every blogger has them and they’re such a great sandal. But I just cannot bring myself to spend that much money on sandals. I just can’t do it, y’all.
