Hey Y’all and welcome to This Serendipity! I’m Kristina and I’m so glad to have you here on my little corner of the internet. Running a lifestyle blog has been a dream of mine since I knew blogs existed and I’m so excited to be on this journey.
Little bit about me, I’m a 32-year-old Southern girl, married 14 years to the best man I know, Tim, mom to 3 (Caleb – 12, Chloe – 11, Lynie – 8). I’ve been a SAHM since ‘09. All three of the kiddos are homeschooled and very active in their respective sports, hockey and gymnastics. I’ll post about them a lot, so, sorry not sorry. Last important note about me, I was recently diagnosed with SLE, Lupus is the more common term. It’s definitely a journey I’m still learning to navigate but is a major plot point in the story of me.
This Serendipity will be a true lifestyle blog, where we can talk about everything from style to fitness to DIYs to how I get my minivan clean (spoiler – it’s never clean).
I’d say you could describe my style as “trendy classic” which I know is an oxymoron but if any word described me, it would be “oxymoron”. I love a clean, classic look but I do love a good trend and I’m not afraid to incorporate them into my looks. My go to beauty look is a neutral eye and a bold lip. I’m not super adventurous with my makeup but I’m down to try new things to see what works. I love to DIY things for home and I’m gearing up to do a major restyling of our home so you’ll get all the behind the scenes and tips I have for that. With Lupus, I’m having to change-up a lot of how I workout and how I eat and I’ll be sharing what and how I’m doing. I need accountability, so if you’re like me we can help each other along the way.
Random things about me … I’m a massive geek, I love Disney, Harry Potter, Supernatural, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, mythology, and many more. I love to read, watch movies, & binge new TV series. I love Clemson Tiger football and NY Rangers hockey. I love musicals, even though I can’t carry a tune in a bucket. Disneyworld is my favorite place on earth.
My only goal is be my authentic self, to share what I’ve learned in this little corner of life, maybe make a few friends. Serendipity means “happy accident”, it’s my favorite word, and I hope we find some along the way.
