Valentine’s Dates and Style to Match

I love Valentine’s y’all. Besides Christmas and my birthday, it’s my favorite holiday. I love any excuse to wear pink and boast about how much I love my man.

I know it’s not everyone’s favorite. And that’s okay. But I really think it should be embraced by all, whether your married, single, dating, whatever.

Since I love this day so much, I thought I’d share a few ideas with you to celebrate and what to wear. Tim and I alternate years, so he plans one year and then I do the next. It’s my turn this year and I’ve got big plans. But since we’re parents and Caleb will have hockey and Chloe will have gymnastics on actual February 14th, we’ll be celebrating in March. BUT in the mean time, I’ve got y’all covered for next Thursday (or next weekend if you’re holding off). Side note, all of these outfits are available through Amazon Prime. I ordered and received them within two days. Plenty of time for you to choose your favorite for the big night. They all fit true to size and are under $30 !!

First let’s cover your more traditional Valentine’s. Drinks, Dinner, Desserts. You can’t really go wrong with the basics. If you’re looking for a more laid back, but still nice night out I suggest heading to your local downtown (we’re blessed with a great one here in Greenville, hopefully you’ve got a nice little area to visit near you). Start with some drinks, again, if you’re local I suggest Up On the Roof . It’s a favorite of ours and so classy. Then make your way to a dinner of your choice, I love pasta! And to close out the night, coffee and conversation is perfect before heading home. And this is the perfect dress for the casual night out!

Next idea, for those of you who want to do it up big, classy style. I’d again suggest heading out for some drinks, it’s a great way to warm up the date and get things started off in a low pressure, easy environment. Then make your way to the best steakhouse you know. Our favorite in Greenville is this amazing place! I’m sure you’ve got an idea of where you’d like to go for a nice meal. If you’re going all out, make sure you go all out. Do dessert there or spring for a hotel stay (it’s always an exciting night in a hotel winkwink) with chocolate covered strawberries. Champagne is a must. Make a toast to your relationship and enjoy the good times. Here are two options, pink and red, for your extravagant night (ps-both of these are great options for parties as well).

Now that we’ve covered our “Big Night Out” options, lets mellow it out a little bit. If you’re busy, laid back, over-scheduled, or just want to be at home here’s a couple great ideas for you.

Put the kiddos to bed, pour a glass of wine (or drink of your choice), turn on some music, and make a meal with the man. Tim and I love to cook together, it’s always so much fun. Here’s a great Tasty Video of some ideas to try. Or if you want to mellow it out even more, order some Bite Squad and pop in a movie. Snuggle up and just enjoy a moment together. This thermal is perfect for a cozy night in, and you can still look festive.

Next, for those who still want to go out but don’t want the pressure of normal Valentine’s Dates try a fun activity. Like an Escape Room or Laser Tag or go see a movie. Tim and I always have fun doing little things like this and it’s great for a Galentine’s event or a group date. Having fun is the key here. I suggest going casual here and this red maxi or plaid shirt is just the outfit you need. Still in the spirit of the holiday but casual, comfortable, and easy to get around in.

A few more suggestions are :

  • Bed and Breakfast stay
  • Wine tasting
  • Sporting Event
  • Dancing
  • Painting or Pottery class
  • Game Night

I hope this gives you a few ideas on how to make your Valentine’s special, whether you’re celebrating solo, with your girls, or with your significant other. How are you planning on celebrating?

Happy Valentine’s and All the Love,

Kristina
